Wrexham AFC Women
Wrexham Women AFC were re-formed in 2018 by the Racecourse Community Foundation in partnership with The National League Trust, FAW Trust and Excell Supply. The first team competes in the North Wales Women’s Football League and will compete in the new FAW Women’s League structure from the 2021/22 season.
The team currently train and play home fixtures at the fantastic FAW training facility, Colliers Park.
Under current manager Luke Wynne the club won its first trophy in the 2018/19 season. Winning the NWWFL Division 2 League Cup after a hard-fought final against Rhyl Development, in which a brace from Morgan Churchill and a deflected effort from Kim Dutton sealed the win. This same season saw Wrexham AFC Women promoted from Division 2 to Division 1, a fantastic achievement in only our first season.
Wrexham AFC Women are proud to be a platform for talented local women from the North Wales and North West areas to play high quality football at a competitive level.
With the support of our community and Wrexham AFC behind us, Wrexham AFC Women will continue to grow and aim to be a force in the Women’s game.
Wrexham AFC Women were re-established in 2018 and although in their infancy, have achieved real success on the pitch, and are aiming to bring a sustainable pathway for women’s footballers at Wrexham.
